Mrs. Catherine Quail, age 80, passed away Sunday evening at her home in Hayward.
She was born in Portage county, WI, Sept. 1, 1880 and was united in marriage to Alexander Quail Sept. 20, 1892 at Buena Vista, WI. In 1900 they came to Hayward to make their home and have resided here since.
Mrs. Quail was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Altar Society; the Royal Neighbors of America and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her seven sons, John of Davenport, Iowa; Jarvis of Los Angeles, CA; James of Davenport, Iowa; Walter and Paul of Hayward; Dan of NY, NY; and Thomas of Milwaukee, WI; one saughter, Mrs. John D. (Mary) Rogers of Oceanside, CA; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother Dan O'Connell of Iron Mountain, MI; three sisters, Mrs. Isobel O'Connor of Portage, WI; Mrs. Patrick Sullivan of Portland, OR; Mrs. EW Murphy of Green Bay, WI.
The body was removed from the Koerpel Funeral Home to her residence Monday evening, to rest until Wed., when funeral services were conducted at 9:00 AM from St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Rev. Father Kalandyk officiating. Interment was in the family lot in Greenwood cemetery.
