Judith (Pocan) Tainter, age 58 of Green Bay, passed away Friday February 9, 2007. She was born on February 12, 1948 in Keshena, the daughter of the late Mose and Grace (Smith) Pocan. Judith was very personable, had a great sense of humor, liked to travel, loved and cared for nature and cared very much for her family.
Judith is survived by her children: Angela Klug of Oshkosh, Sheilah Pocan of Milwaukee, Adam Sturdevant of Arbor Vitae, Mathew Hill of Green Bay, Jeanette Dakateau of Green Bay, Lisa Dakateau of Green Bay, Scott Tainter of Green Bay, Randy Tainter of Green Bay and John Stevens of Algoma; brothers and sisters: Jerry Pocan, Joany Tucker, Joyce Pocan, Crystal Pocan, Harriet Pocan, Henry Pocan, Jack Pocan and Peter Pocan. She is further survived by 15 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Joe Pocan.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday February 13, 2007 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Neopit with Rev. David Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 11am until the time of services.
