Deceased Name: Ordella D. (Kielmeyer) Krueger
Ordella D. (Kielmeyer) Krueger, 96, of Sparta died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at the Mayo Clinic Health System, Sparta.
She was born on Oct. 3, 1915, in Rice County, Faribault, Minn., to Edwin and Cecelia (Meder) Kielmeyer. She attended Faribault Elementary and Jr. High and graduated from Sr. High School in 1934.
Ordella attended St. Paul Business School and also St. Paul School of Hairdressing and was a beautician at Wilma's Beauty Shop in Faribault before her marriage to Milton C. Krueger of Bonduel , Wis., on Aug. 12, 1941. After Milt's death she worked at the Job Corp at Ft. McCoy for two years until it phased out. She then was employed at the University Extension Office in the Courthouse. She worked until her retirement in June of 1984 at the State Patrol Academy office.
Ordella was a church member of Trinity Lutheran Church and sang in the Senior Church Choir for many years (about 50+). Wherever she and Milt were transferred during his employment she joined the choir and Milt taught Sunday school. She belonged to the Shalom Circle, and was a faithful member of the quilting group, and also worked in the church office many years ago. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan like her husband, Milton was years ago.
She is survived by her five grandchildren, Kurt (Cynthia) Krueger of Washington Court House, Ohio, their son, Alex; and Bradley Krueger of Sparta, and his daughter, Darian; Corey Tentis of Portland, Ore.; Jeremy (Bushra) Tentis of Madison, Wis., and two daughters, Zahra and Zoha; Megan (Glen) Watson of Portage, Wis., and sons, Charlie and Henry; son-in-law, Michael (Jeanne) Tentis of Poynette, Wis.; relatives in Minnesota and Texas and friends here.
Ordella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milton; son, Kim Krueger; daughter, Kennon Tentis; daughter-in-law, Susan Krueger; brothers, and sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sparta, with the Reverend Jeffrey Wm. Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Sparta.
