Deceased Name: Marjorie Helen Mueller
JEFFERSON - Marjorie Helen (Henry) Mueller, 93, of Jefferson, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Alden Estates in Jefferson where she had been a patient for six months.
She was born on March 29, 1919, in Jefferson, daughter of the late Nolan C. and Helen J. (Hinz) Henry.
She attended grade school and high school in Jefferson, and graduated from Whitewater State Teachers College in 1941. She taught high school in Marengo, Ill., and Bonduel .
On Oct. 2, 1943, at the bedside of the groom's grandmother, she married Lt. Richard E. Mueller in Oak Park, Ill. Richard passed away in 2010 after 67 years of marriage. She spent the rest of her career as a mother and homemaker.
Marjorie was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jefferson. She was an avid golfer and lifelong member of Meadow Springs Country Club. She also enjoyed playing bridge and took great pride in her beautiful orchids.
She will be deeply missed by her two children, Richard H. (Gloria) Mueller of Avon Park, Fla., and Cynthia (James) Flanagan of Plymouth; two granddaughters, Kerry Flanagan (Benjamin) Wehmeier of Bolingbrook, Ill., and Megan M. Flanagan of Plymouth; two great-granddaughters, Madigan and Lillian Wehmeier; sisterin-law, Barbara R. Mueller of Madison; special niece, Candace Zickler of Indianapolis, Ind.; and other nieces and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Franklin of Indianapolis.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson, with the Rev. Wayne Mueller officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials may be directed to the Alden Estates Physical Therapy equipment fund.
