SERVICES HELD FOR WILLIE CARL TEWS
Willie Carl Tews, 47, Rt 2, Marion, died very unexpectedly Christmas afternoon at Caroline after suffering an apparent heart attack. He was born July 2, 1916 in the town of Pella. He was married to Martha Marie Rosenow on Aug. 15, 1936 at Pella, and they lived on the Tews farm all their married life. He was a life-long member of Bethlehem Lutheran church, town of Pella, serving as treasurer for several years and also a member of the Brotherhood. Besides the widow, survivors include 3 sons, Daniel, Appleton; Thomas and Steven at home; 3 sisters, Rena, Mrs. Kurt Erdmann, Shawano; Dorothy, Mrs. James Bohr, Garden City, Mich., and Grace, Mrs. William Hurley, Sioux Falls, S. Dak. and 1 brother, Ruben Tews, Milwaukee. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon, Dec. 28, at the Bethlehem Lutheran church and burial was in the Parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Ed. Rindt, John Westphal, Clarence Westphal, Alfred Suehring, Ed. Thomack and Louie Wissman.
