MRS. JULIA ROOSE BATHKE
Mrs. Julia Roose Bathke, 70, Rt. 2, Mishicot, formerly of Ladysmith, died Sun., Feb. 22 at a Green Bay hospital. She was born Feb. 14, 1906 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Miller in Claywood, Oconto County.
She attended the German Lutheran School at the town of Gillett. She lived most of her life in the Ladysmith area, recently moving to Mishicot. She married Floyd Roose October 21, 1924, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1948. She married John Rathke Feb. 14, 1957, and he preceded her in death in March, 1972.
Survivors include five sons, Floyd, Suamico, William, Tampa, Fla., Stanley, Rt. 2, Mishicot, Franklyn, Elkhart, Ind., and Robert, Prosser, Wash.; 25 grandchildren: four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Gustie Bortnem,
Deadwood, S.D., Mrs. Victoria Birtch, Green Hay. Olga (Mrs. Bassil Rickaby), Gillett; and four brothers, Herman Miller, Suring, Fred Miller, Gillett, Ben Miller, Green Bay, and Henry Miller, Rt. 2, Gillett.
Funeral services will be held Wed., Feb. 25 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett, with Rev. Glenn Strochiem officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Gillett.
Friends may call at the Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett, on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday until the time of services.
