Thank you. I do have the North Dakota and the Welsh census info. We eventually found quite a bit about William and his wife. If you find pictures of him, now THAT would be wonderful! WG was born in Bangor to Anne Hughes (born 1818) and William Williams. In 1851 W.G.’s family is found at Ysgoldy in Llanrhyddlad parish, about 2 miles north of Llanddeusant. William Snr is listed as a "farmer caper", born in Llanrhyddlad. In 1861 the family is found at Ty rardd, a small cottage in Llanddeusant parish just two doors away from Red Lion, the home of Ellen’s parents and siblings. In 1861 William Snr is now listed as an agricultural labourer. William Jr is an unmarried 18 year old pupil teacher. We assume he was educated at the nearby Llanrhyddlad British School, to become a "pupil teacher". And he married up a class as well, to Catherine Broadhead Bulkeley. Let me know if you are interested in more. And thanks again for your offer to research.
