OBIT: Mr. Friedrich Isserstedt, one of the older settlers in Town
Plymouth, died on Sunday in the home of his son-in-law, Mr. Adam
Kaestner, who lived four miles northeast of here. He had a liver
ailment. He came from the Province of Saxony and had reached the
age of some 77 years. About 44 years ago he came to America with
his family and settled on a farm about three miles northeast of
here. Some years later he sold the farm and moved to Plymouth
where he had a shoe repair shop. Later he bought the farm which
Mr. Adam Kaestner is now working. He is survived by his wife and
four children: Mr. Fred Isserstedt and Mrs. Adam Kaestner, Town
Plymouth, and Mrs. Henriette Hoppe and Emilie Hamm in Medford,
Wis. The funeral was held on Wednesday five miles northeast from
here. 3

Wisconsin, the Executors of this my Last Will and Testament, and
hereby authorize and empower them to grant, bargain, and sell
any and all real estate which I may die possesed of or which may
come into their hands after my death, whenever they may deem it
necessary or for the best interest of my estate to do so, for
such price and on such terms as they may see fit and proper, and
on such sale or sales to make, execute, acknowledge and deliver
a Deed or Deeds or other conveyances to the purchaser or

their hands as such Executors or Trustees during the continuance
of this Trust in such interest bearing securities as they in
their discretion may deem best and advisable for the safety of
my estate, and to collect the interest thereon and on all other
securities coming into their hands as such Executors or Trustees
at the time of my death, the same becomes due and payable, and
to have full control and management of all my real estate, to
collect all rents, income and profit accruing from such real
estate or from any such real estate which may hereafter belong
to my estate, and to pay over to my wife, Wilhelmina Isserstedt,
or to apply and pay ?? for her the same as though they were her
guardians, so much of the money realized from such interest,
rent and profit as may be necessary and proper for her support
and maintenance, care and comfort for and during the time of her
natural life.
Will: The remainder of such interest, rents and profit, if any, not
used for the support and care of my wife, to be added to and
become a part of my estate.
Will: Third- From and immediately after the death of my wife,

Will: The remaining share or portions I give, devise and bequeath to
Emil Hoffman and Frederick Hoffmann, of Sheboygan County,
Wisconsin, children of my deceased daughter Amanda Hoffman, in
equal shares, but such share to remain in the hands and control
of my said Executors and to be kept invested by them in interest
bearing securities, and as each of said Emil Hoffmann and
Frederick Hoffmann arrive at the age of twenty five (25) years

HIST: Jennifer,
HIST: Sorry to hear about your email problem... Aren't these machines
"wonderful".
HIST: Yes, I believe we did correspond awhile back. Although my life
the past 5 months has been a whirlwind, so maybe I only thought
I wrote back to you! (In Oct. my mother-in-law had surgery on
her shoulder and was then in a nursing home for 5 weeks. Jim and
one of his brother have been doing the bulk of the running and
paperwork. She was only home 3 weeks when she had a ruptured
blood vessel in her stomach and was air lifted to Duluth, MN for
emergancy surgery on that. We're an hour and a half from
Duluth, by car. She wouldn't have survived more than an hour.
In between all of that, our daughter who was very pregnant and
due Dec. 22nd, had her water break and Cody was born on Dec.
6th, by C-section! Thankfully they are both doing well and she
is back to work..... Guess who's watching the little guy????)
HIST: Now that you know most of my life story, I will fill you in on
the information that I have on the Isserstedt's. My information
came from John Maurer from Delavan, WI. He and I are related
through the Kaestner / Maurer families in Sheboygan County. John
has done considerable research of many of these families. I'm
not sure where the following information came from, but most
likely from the German archives.
