We are researching Joseph COLLIER, whom we believe was listed in the 1930 US Lincoln, Trempealeu, Wisconsin census as an inmate at the Trempealeau County Insane Asylum.
Joseph Collier's age was 72 at the time of that census. He may well have lived out the balance of his life there.
Does anyone have any knowledge about where inmates of this institution might have been buried, if their families were not able to provide for such?
Joseph Collier was the son of Richard COLLIER and Demiah Collier, who lived in Buffalo County, Wisconsin. His father died, and by 1863 his mother had married John TURTON of Modena, Buffalo, Wisconsin. Joseph Collier was always single and associated with the TURTON family as their step-son and step-brother.
