Wisconsin BRISKY family

I am looking for the place of origin in Europe for my BRISKY ancestors. My G-grandfather John ( or Jan) Brisky [1853-1908] came to the USA with his parents Jan [about 1820-1891] and Marie [about 1829-1898] Brisky. The 1900 census reports that they came to the USA in 1867. The earliest record I have found for them is the 1870 census (Hillsboro Township, Vernon, Wisconsin, USA). John married Frances HOTEK [ b 1859 in Madison, WI and d 1948 in Vernon County, Wisconsin]. John & Frances had 9 children, including my grandmother. The oldest son preferred the spelling Brisky but several of the other boys used Briskey.
Both John’s death record and citizenship documents list his place of birth as Austria, but most census records show Bohemia as the place of birth for the immigrant Brisky family. Since Bohemia was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in mid-nineteenth century, this is not a contradiction.
