I checked the 2 newspapers that covered Shell Lake and did not find anything about Annie or Oscar's death, there was a diphtheria outbreak during that time though. I checked the Washburn County Cemetery book and there is a Mr & Mrs Fix and children who are buried in the Shell Lake Cemetery but there are no dates and evidently no names. I will check with the Shell Lake Cemetery to see if they can provide me with more information and I don't know if you found in the 1895 Wisconsin Census for Washburn County there is a Mrs. Andrew Fix with 4 males and 2 females in Bashaw, which is a township that is next to Shell Lake. I will check with the county clerks office and see what I can find as well, hopefully I can do it tomorrow if not Monday.
