Obit for Leonildna Jane Stuart
Jane Leonildna Stuart was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on Jan 19, 1914 and grew into womanhood there.
She was a graduate of Bethel Academy.
In 1935 she was united in marriage to Darwin Stuart in Missoula, Mt.
In 1937 they moved to Superior WI. In 1940 they went to Chicago IL and returned to Spooner in 1946 and have resided in their home here and in St. Paul MN since that time.
Mrs Stuart passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday Oct 21 at the age of 40 years, 9 months and 2 days.
She is survived by her husband Darwin, and one son Jerome; also one sister Mrs Lynel E Berman of Las Vegas NV; her father Jerome Evald of St. Paul, MN.
She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star in St. Paul.
Funeral Services were held at the Methodist church in Spooner. Rev TS Beavin officiated. Burial in Spooner Cemetery. Eastern Star Services were accorded at the grave.
Darwin Stuart dies at home
Funeral services for Darwin W Stuar, 56, a life long resident of Spooner, who passed away very suddenly at his home Sunday, were held on Wednesday at 2 pm at Dahl Funeral home, Rev Milton Ford officiating.
Mr Stuart was born Oct 1,1908 in Spooner, the son of Walter and Eva Stuart. In the late 1920's he was united in marriage to the late Jane Ewald and to this union one son was born.
The Stuarts owned and operated Stuarts Motel in Spooner for many years. In 1957 he was united in marriage to the former Betty Tima.
Mr Stuart was a member of Spooner Chamber of Commerce and the American Motel Association. He was preceded in death by his father and first wife. He is survived by his wife, Betty; one son Jerome of Boulder, CO; his mother Mrs Walter Eva Stuart of Chicago; one brother Harland of Spooner and one sister, Mrs Goldie Elliot of Chicago; two grandchildren and other relatives.
