Hi,

This wasn't too much information at all. In fact, you might want to supply me with some more! :)

This is what I found. In the 1870 Census for Washington County, in the township of Wayne, I found Phillip and Sophia Faber and Phillip and Catherine Faber. I'm not sure if either of these would be yours but if you think they are, let me know and I'll give you more information on them.

I DID find Peter and Margaretha Heller and they had Catherina Miller living with them. This is how they are listed on page 26 of the census.

Heller, Peter- he was a 34 year old white male. He was a farmer and he said that value of his real estate was $2000.00 and his personal estate was $500.00. He was born in ? Baden (I can't read the first part of the name but I'm sure it's in Germany) and his mother and father were of foreign birth. He was also a citizen of the U.S.

Heller, Margaretha- she was a 27 year old white female. Her occupation is listed as keeping house. She was born in New York and her parents were of foreign birth. She isn't a citizen of the U.S. but women weren't allowed to be then.

Heller, Sarah- she was a 7 year old white female. She was born in Wisconsin and her father was of foreign birth.

Heller, Catherina- she was a 4 year old white female. She was born in Wisconsin and her father was of foreign birth.

Heller, Peter- he was a 2 year old white male. He was born in Wisconsin and his father was of foreign birth.

Lina (I may have this spelling wrong)- was a 1 month old (born in April) white female. She was born in Wisconsin and her father was of foreign birth.

Also living with them,
Miller, Catherina- she was a 59 year old white female. She was born in Bavaria and her parents were of foreign birth.

In the 1880 census, I found a Henry and Katherine Faber and Carl and Catherine Faber. Again, let me know if you want any information on them. I also found the following on page 14.

Hiller, Peter- he was a white male that was 45 years old. He is married and his occupation is listed as a farmer. He was born in Baden along with his parents.

Hiller, Margaretha- she was a white female and is 36 years old. She is the wife, married, and for her occupation it's listed as keeping house. She cannot read and cannot write. She was born in Wisconsin and her parents were born in Bavaria.

Hiller, Katherine- she was a white female that was 13 years old (the age is a little hard to read but it looks like 13). She is the daughter, single, and her occupationn is listed as being at home. There is a check mark in the column that asks, "Is the person (on the day of the numerators visit) sick or temporarily disabled, so as to be unable to attend to ordinary business or duties? If so, what is the sickness or disability?" Nothing is listed for the reason. She was born in Wisconsin, her father was born in Baden and her mother in Wisconsin.

Hiller, Mar (?- the rest of this is blurred)- she is a white female, 10 years old, single, and her occupation is listed as attending school. She also has a check mark in the column about illness or disablility but there isn't anything else written there. She was born in Wisconsin, her father in Bavaria and her mother in Wisconsin.

Hiller, Peter- he is a single white male that is 12 years old. He is listed as being the son and his occupation is attending school. He was born in Wisconsin, his father in Bavaria and his mother in Wisconsin.

Hiller, Emily- she is a single white female that is 4 years old. She is the daughter and she was born in Wisconsin. Her father was born in Bavaria and her mother in Wisconsin.

Hiller, Johannes- he is a single white male that is 1 year old. He was born in Wisconsin, his father in Bavaria and his mother in Wisconsin.

Also living with them was Miller, Katherine- she is a white female who was 66 years old. She is listed as being the mother-in-law and is a widow. She cannot write. It says she was born in Wisconsin, her father in Bavaria and her mother in Wisconsin.

I also found another Kibbel family. They are Ernest and Mary Kibbel, their children, John, Sophia, and Carl, and the grandmother, Sophia Kibbel. They live very close to Peter and Margaretha so they might be related. If you want more information on this family, let me know. And later in the census, I found another Kibbel family. They are John and Louisa. Their children are George, William, Henry, Carl, Elizabeth and Phillip. I can give you more information on them if you want.

I'm sorry I couldn't find the Faber family you were looking for. I found all of the above in the 1870 and 1880 Federal census and all in the town of Wayne. Do you have any other places where the Faber family could be? Let me know. I don't have an index for individuals otherwise I would have been able to give you more information. I hope this helps though. Paula
