All known early record books for the cemetery, previously held by Northview Home, have been transferred to the Waukesha County Museum. Northview Home, later called Linden Grove, is located at N1 W25042 Northview Road, Waukesha, WI 53188.
At the Waukesha County Museum there are M-841 County Records, Waukesha County Asylum for Chronic Insane and County Home. Cemetery Records 1881-1923, 1942, 1951. Transcript available. The first 75 burials listed in this register had numbered tombstones and were moved in 1904-1905 from the Vernon cemetery. Also, "Study of Northview Cemetery," Donald J. Eggum, Waukesha County Coroner, October 17, 1984. This includes a list of burials, 1883-1936. Graham Winters is not listed in these lists. Missing 1937.
On Graham's death certificate - The informant was L.A Peters. He was Superindentant of Waukesha County Asylum for Chronic Insane and County Farm.
No date on this info below – don’t know how long Mr and Mrs Peters were Superintendant and Matron. On January 29, 1920, Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Peters were elected to the offices of superintendent and matron. Superintendent and Mrs. Peters assumed their duties February 5, 1920; positions they still hold.
There possibly are records available in Wisconsin to track when Graham was registered at Waukesha County Asylum for Chronic Insane and County Home. Graham may have had dementia or just poor.
Cemetery records for 1937 not online. Cemetery records: 1881-1923, 1942, 1951 and coroners list only goes to 1936. Wonder if coroner list for 1937 available at the museum?
