Dee,
thanks, I know about these two graves. William L. is actually in Censuses as either Lewes or Louis; his father is William C. I already checked with the woman who is an officer of the Hancock Cemetery Assn and she confirmed that that 'G' is really a 'C.' I wish William C.'s wife Lucy Wooden had an extant gravestone in that cemetery. Some of her cousins (Hugabooms) are also buried in Hancock Cemetery. Lucy is listed in the 1870 Census for Waushara Co. in Hancock as a "widow farmer." Next I need to check deeds and probate in Waushara County.
