I would like to find out more about the Norwegian settlement in Winnebago County. Specifically, I am interested in John Anderson, wife Betsey and daughter Jane - listed in the 1850 census. They were all born in Norway according to the census; John is 30, Betsey is 24(?) and Jane is 4. I assume they came sometime between 1845 and 1850 since Jane is 4 and born in Norway. Are there any books telling about this immigration into Winnebago County in the timeframe?

Also, is there some way to find them on the Norwegian passenger listing - knowing that their names might be different than is shown on the census record?
