The funeral of Mrs. J. H. Collins took place at the First M. E. church Sunday afternoon and was largely attended by friends and old acquaintances. The remains arrived on the early morning train from Eureka, Kansas, accompanied by her step-son, Nelson Collins, formerly of this city, who started back on the first train after the funeral. The funeral services were conducted by presiding elder J. M. Walker, who formerly lived in Mrs. Collins' family and who happened to be in the city at this time.
