I would like to find info on a Rebecca French who was sent to this facility in Apr or May 1902.
According to a newspaper article in the Eau Claire Leader of 7 May 1902, she was found
insane because of her living conditions with many cats. It stated that she was a teacher
in Marinette for 14 years. The Rebecca French of a collateral line was a teacher is Wisc and
died 27 Jan 1906 and her body was transferred from Appleton, Wisc to Danville, Ill and
interred in Danville. Their notes and an obit in Danville show that she was a teacher and
the physician was G. V. Cavanaugh of Appleton. Are those records available?
