I am connected to this YETTER family. My great great Grandfather was Gottlieb YETTER born October 21, 1848.

Your William's parents were William E YETTER b June 19, 1827 m Anna LAGING b May 01, 1851. William Yetter Sr. and Gottlieb were said to be brothers. Due to the age difference I'm am trying to look into the possiblity that they were Uncle and nephew.

According to a family tree, I obtained from a cousin, William Sr's parents are listed as William YETTER and ?LEPPINOW. On Gottlieb's death certificate, Gottlieb's parents were G. YETTER and Margareta.

William Sr and my Gottlieb were from Wuerttemburg, Germany. There were two other brothers that came over from Germany. Their names were Kris and Karl. Both died in the Civil War. YETTER was originally spelled JETTER (pronounced the same).

Your William C YETTER b June 15, 1868 and Bertha OELSCHLAGER b Sep 03, 1872 had seven children.

My Great Grandma was Rosine YETTER who married Heinrich (Henry) GUSSEL. Rosine died in 1918 during the influenza epidemic.
