Don't have an obit but found the following in the Stevens Point Daily Journal, Monday, November 9, 1925:
Wedded at New Hope Church
Last Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, at the Norwegian Lutheran church near Rhinehart lake, town of New Hope, took place the marriage of Miss Selma Arvada Loberg to Vernon A Martin of Stevens Point, Rev S L Thompson officiating.
The church was prettily decorated for the occasion with ferns and pink and white festoons. The bride was prettily dressed in a gown of white satin charmeuse and wore a veil. She carried a bouquet of pink and white chrysanthemums.
Miss Ruth Fredrickson, Hartford school teacher, a cousin of the bride, and Miss Edna Martin, sister of the groom, were the bridesmaids. Everett Martin, brother of the groom and Gilman Loberg brother of the bride were the groomsmen. The wedding march was played by Mrs. Andrew P Een, aunt of the groom. The ushers were Miss Malinda Loberg and Miss Lillian Anderson, cousins of the bride. Immediate relatives, friends and neighbors witnessed the even.
Following the ceremony the newly wedded couple and immediate relatives partook of a several course dinner at the home of the bride's parents. Later in the evening a large circle of relatives, neighbors and friends rendered the bridal couple a surprise shower, more than 150 persons being present. Many beautiful and useful gifts were presented.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Severn T Loberg prominent farmers of the town of Amherst. She is a graduate of Scandinavia college, is prominent in church work and is an accomplished musician. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. A Martin of Stevens Point and is a Amherst High school graduate. The left Sunday morning for a wedding trip to Milwaukee.
