Marriage

Ship Transcribers Guild
Series M237 Roll - Arrived in Baltimore Md, 15 May 1882 Left Bremen April 26, 1882 Ship: Leipzig
ID# (all originated from Prussia)
612069 Gustav Teschlag, 8
612070 Herman Teschlag,14
612071 Minna Teschlag, 40
612068 August Teschlag, 39

I know Minna's Daughter, Augusta Yoeck (Yurk/Goeck) came earlier and married Herman Werth in Chickago on January 2, 1882.
I know Minna was married before to August Yoeck(Yurk/Goeck) and Augusta was from this first marriage. I have Herman's obituary and he died October 21,1936 in Sheboygan, Wisc. Listed as survivors are sister Mrs. August Werth, and one brother Gustave Tetschlag of Sheboygan.

I have a note written by "Mother Tetschlag" that says:
"On the 27th May 1920 the insane assylum picked up Herman, probably forever. Written by Mother Tetschlag in Sheboygan, Wisc. In 1882 we came to America."

Documentation from older family members says: Augusta came to this country alone as a yourng girl. She had a stepfather ??Tetschlag and 2 step brothers, Gustav and Herman.

I do not know if Herman Werth (Augusta's husband) and Emma Werth (Gustav's wife) were related. Augusta died Jan 29, 1951 in Watertown, Wisconsin, but I do not have her obituary.
I also have not found the naturalizations of Minna, August Teschlag or Gustav yet.

The names of Augusta and Herman Werth's children were:
Otto, Alma (Anna), Ida, Hattie, August, and Elsie. All but Otto were born in Waterloo, Wisconsin and all but Ida were buried in Wisconsin, mostly in Oakhill Cemetery in Watertown.

Hope this helps some.
Rebecca
