After Charlotte passed away, Susan Avery Colton (Aunt Susie) came back from China where she had been a missionary. She was there ostensibly to keep house for her brother James. As noted in the 1918 WWI Draft Registration card, she was living at the address on Parkside Drive in Berkeley. I have seen various records which indicate Susan went back to Japan and Korea as a missionary after that time.

In the 1920 Census, Susan has left the home with two servants in place. Anna Fallgren, age 22 and Molly Darling, age 45. Likely, a maid and a cook, respectively.

Clara Avery Colton is another sister of James. She came west from North Carolina and was a teacher in Berkeley.

So, the Colton's and the Avery's I've got.

Minnie Mae? The mystery continues. Thanks,

Roger
