I'm looking for information on Minnie Mae. She was the second wife of my great grandfather.

Here is what I know: Born in Wisconsin in 1883. Came from a very poor family. Considered a great beauty.

At age 18, her mother arranged a marriage to a Wisconsin lumber baron in 1901. Her husband was a cruel man and she was able to get a divorce from him on those grounds. She was able to obtain a settlement that included household silver and her furs.

I believe she met my great grandfather, James Hooper Colton, in New York sometime after the death of his first wife in 1917. They married in 1922 and lived in Berkeley, CA. Both were very active at the Berkeley Country Club. in later years, they moved to Reno, NV. He died in 1964 and she passed away in 1966.

Looking for anything that might help me learn more about her.
