"I am trying to tie back into the Wisconsin area Hennings from my gggrandfather, Julius Henning b: 1857, d: 1926. ... What I think might be accurate: Father's name Heinrich or Henry or J.C Any information or nudges in the right direction are greatly appreciated!"

In case this is helpful, the local German papers have death notices or other clippings for Harry, Henry, or a Heinrich Henning in 1897, 1898, 1916, 1918, 1926. These are entries or references found in "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items" (1844-1950). There are about 300 occurrences of Henning in the current version of the growing index.
