"Interesting item (possibly genealogical?) relating to the University of Wisconsin ... The book has many scattered references to her (a UW instructor), and to her husband Arvid Harnack, whom she had met at the University in 1926."

I don't know whether Mildred Fish & Arvid Harnack's family histories are connected directly to Wisconsin, but there's a good collection of Harnak & Harnack entries or references found in the ongoing project: "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items" (1844-1950). These include connections with the names Gellert Hahn Gross Maier Pempony (1917) Pentony (1918) Qualmann. There are just a few entries or references to the family names Fish and Fisch.
