Surnames: CHURCH, STILLWELL, STANDISH, GILLASPIE, WEBSTER
Interested in information on the town of GARRETT, in Albany Co. My g-g grandmother, Urania Stillwell Church Garrett, (1816, NY) married Sylvester Church, had 3 children, then he died in the Civil War. Urania "Ranie" then married
ROBERT GARRETT in Ohio, 1849. He was also a widow, with three children of his own. Urania and Robert Garrett had three children of their own: THUEL S. GARRETT, MARY GARRETT, AND EMILY JANE "JENNIE" GARRETT.
The story is that the family moved to Wyoming, and I was told they established the town of Garrett. This just could be family fantasy, but is the story my grandmother told me.
Family records say that Robert Garrett died in Garrett, Albany Co., WY, as did his son, Thuel S. Garrett. (Wife, Mary Banner).
I do not know when Urania Stillwell Church Garrett died, but assume it would have been in Garrett...but, maybe not.
I would love to learn any information on this family, any of the names, and the town of Garrett.

Thanks you in advance,
NANCY

My grandmother , Dorothy Standish, was born in Meeteetsee, Park Co., MO, as were her 4 sisters.
The family later moved to Colorado.
