Perry, There is a historical marker at the Oregon Trail about 3 miles south of Lingle but it only says:
OREGON TRAIL
MARKED BY THE
STATE OF WYOMING
1914

The area has been highly disturbed with road building, canal building, several houses, a highway bridge, and the river may well have moved some since 1849. There is no evidence of any graves in the immediate vicinity. If you want a photo of the historical marker, send me an email: linglebird@yahoo.com.
