WIDOW OF FORMER MAYOR DIES HERE
Mrs. Louis Charles Booth, a resident of Sheridan since 1908, died this morning following a short illness.
Mrs. Booth was born Lillian Gerard in Missouri, the daughter of Dr. Stephen and Melvina (Hatfield) Gerard. She married Mr. Booth, a former Sheridan mayor, on Oct 12, 1904, and the couple moved to Sheridan to make their home four years later. Her husband preceded her in death Oct. 2, 1953.
Mrs. Booth was a member of the First Congregational church, and Chapter B, PEO.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Louis G. Booth of Sheridan, three grandchildren, Frederick Booth of Omaha and Virginia and Michael Booth of Sheridan, and one great grandson, Randall Booth of Omaha.
Private funeral services will be conducted from Champion's drawing room Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Raymond H. Clark officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Plot No. 8. Sheridan Cemetery.
