"A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 27, in Williamette National Cemetery for James Ellis Morris, who died of cancer April 25 at age 72.
Mr. Morris was born December 5, 1927 in Omaha, Nebraska. He served in the U.S. Army in the infantry during World War 2. He lived in Sheridan, Wyoming for 36 years, working as a warehouseman. Since 1966, he had lived in the Portland area, working as a warehouseman in Tualatin for 10 years, retiring in 1977. In 1952 he married Maxine Hill; she died in 1995.
Survivors include one son, Wes; daughter, CheryLea Gates; brothers, Willis and Glen; and four grandchildren.
