M1867?).y great grandfather, Edward Lavery (1827--1905) of Ballykeel, Dromore, County Down married Eliza Smith/Smyth (1833-1901) and they had nine children: Grace (d. 1949)unmarried; Eliz Ann (b. 1867?) unmarried; Mary (1864?-1942) unmaried; Sarah (dates unknown)unmarried; Maggie (nee Lavery) Hasley who migrated to New York State, perhpas Albany and was still aline in 1941; Edward (Ned) (1868?-1940) who I think helped James build his house in Winnipeg and who spent some years working in Canada before returning to Ireland; Thomas (1869?- 1929) unmarried who inherited the family farm in Ballykeel; Helena (nee Lavery) Cairns (May 16, 1873-????); Samuel (Oct. 24, 1876- 1927 married Edith Hamilton (1885- 1981) who immigrated to Winnipeg and who are both buried in Brookside Cemetery--They are my grandparents--and who had three children (Willima James, Martha Kennedy (nee Lavery) McCormack; and my father Samuel Victor (1914-19687).
I think that James Lavery, the father of James and Grace Annie may have been a brother of my great grandfather, Edward Lavery. I am trying to find out if that is true and if there were other sibilings. Also, I am trying to find out the names and any other information about Edward's parents.
