I have just received a copy of a letter sent to my grandmother, dated 25 January 1916. It is from her brother, George (although I can find no record of her having a brother). The address at the top of the letter states:-

No 1188 Sig G Hunt,
Signalling HQ,
1st Btn 1st Inf ????,
AIF Egypt.

I have no knowledge of any Hunts in my family, or any connections with Australia or New Zealand, and this has come as a complete surprise to me. Is there any way I can trace this person from the details I have?

Thank you
