I am researching my friends family tree and have hit a brick wall.
Her Uncle was Harry Larner (1908 - 1962) He was born in Kings Norton Warwickshire and died in Northfield Birmingham Warwickshire. He was a serving sailor with the Royal Navy most of his working life.
He married a lady called Florence. She came from Scotland and had a Glasgow accent. Florence and Harry only had one child, a daughter who my friend knew as Ann (it is possible she also had the name Myra Larner, if the 1955 Birmingham voters register is anything to go by)
When Harry died in 1962 Florence and Ann moved to Australia. My friend doesn't know if Ann had married by then. Florence and Ann continued to write to Harry's younger sister Kitty Brown (nee Larner.) Kitty was my friends mother.
Sadly Kitty has recently died but my friend is still trying to find Ann. We are assuming Florence has also died. We think Ann is younger than my friend so her birth year is 1939 onwards.
