If your in Australia, Trove is the newspaper archives, invaluable for finding info!Just do an advanced search to help weed out the rubbish.. National Library of Australia, or State Library has search options. If you know where the birth/death/marriage occured, then you can do a free ancestry search on the relevent births deaths and marriages website. Doesnt give all the info, but its a start! Plus there are other ancestry sites, that if your serious, you can join or buy credits, and they often have some different records to this site.... Ive put enquiries on here before, and its driven me to tears, the effort some people will go to help you find the info you need!!! Once, I swear, a lady spend most of the day, researching, and posting each piece of info.. Last week, I had a gentleman, go to the National Library, to try and look up a record for me... Its awesome that they will go to so much trouble for a complete stranger!
