At a loss re- Henry Rose.
I am looking for information about Henry Rose, who lived in the Maitland district 1840-1875.
I think he was a convict arriving aboard the 'Maitland" in 1840, from Upper Canada, but I cannot find his name among the list of Canadian Convicts. I have found a TOL 1846 but do not have the details.
I see permission was given to 'depasture stock outside the limits',a Pasturage Licence noted in the Govt Gazette in 1843. Would that kind of permission be given to a convict?
I have details of his wife(Eliza Ferris) and family, and I know that he ran horses in later years, around the Rothbury and Murrundi areas.
Any information, tips and advice greatly appreciated.
