Just received the marriage certificate for Susan Hanning and John Jeffery. John was 25 and Susan was 16 when they married.

Susan's mother is listed as Mary Middleton. Her father is listed as deceased. They were married in the presence of Daniel Hayes and Elizabeth Moon. Daniel possibly being a stepfather? And maybe explains why later generations assumed her maiden name was Hayes.
