Gloria,,,I guess the name Suzie might have been remembered as Lucy.
I also can believe that John may have needed a woman around to help raise the children. (maybe her name was Lucy?)
Whatever happened it certainly appears that the mother was Susan. Susan died 15/06/1900 father Owen McPARTLAND mother Susan McCANN.
