I am trying to establish if the Maurice Murray who was a circus proprietor in Adelaide in the 1870s is the same as
Maurice Murray (c.1835-1887, Sydney) m. Letitia Heathwood (1840-1877) in 1857, Goulburn NSW.

They had James (1858-1925), Augustus Maurice (1860-1936, Mary (1862-1902, m Frank Spender), Henry (1865-?), and Letitia (1867-1913, m. George Crickmar).

From various certificates: Maurice was a rough carpenter in 1860, a shingler in 1866 (father was a slater), and a labourer (death).

Info from Trove:

Maurice Murray's "World's Greatest American Circus" appeared in Adelaide and Sydney in 1870 with Maurice as a double bare-backed horse rider.

Maurice Murray's "Great World Circus" appeared in Adelaide and other SA towns in 1874-6. Mention is made of Maurice as clown, Mrs Murray doing a Scotch Dance, Jas and Guss as trapezists, and Miss La Pete Murray as juvenile equestrian.

Letitia Murray, husband Maurice, died in Adelaide in 1877. Unfortunately, SA death certificates at that stage apparently do not include parent details.

Both Mary and Letitia jnr married in Adelaide.

An 1876 court case mentions Edwin, son of Maurice. I have been unable to find any record of him - perhaps he was registered as Henry?

Any info/suggestions would be appreciated.
