Hello " kimelle_1",
Emily's obituary states the family were at BLAKEVILLE and Charles' death C<1886>; the 1886 BALLARAT Hospital death I posted on March 15th does appear to be the correct Charles HOWARD.
Charles was in BALLARAT Hospital 5th October 1886, that may have been when he died.

THE LATE MRS EMILY HOWARD.
A shadow was cast over Bunbury on Sunday, March 21st, when it be came officially known that Mrs Emily Howard had passed away. The deceased lady was the relict of the late Mr Charles Howard of Blakeville, Victoria, who predeceased her about 34 years ago. At the time of her decease, she was 74 years of age. She was the mother of 14 children, 9 of whom survive her, and 38 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She had been ailing for four years, but being of a vigorous constitution, withstood her infirmities much longer than was anticipated. She resided in Bunbury for 19 years and was widely known and highly respected for her Stirling qualities. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs J. Boulden of Victoria Street, in the presence of many of her loved ones. The deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved ones. The funeral arrangements were in the hands of Mr Brittain.
