Hi Alison

Glad you are having lots of fun now with your family! Its nice that you say thank you ( in a meaningful way) - it encourages all of us who volunteer our time and brain power to solving these tricky mysteries for people we don't know!

Re WAITE - Mathew and Esther married 1814 - see Familysearch LDS - I haven;t done any work on this line until this minute :-))

Sybella - well, I am not sure if she was originally Isabella and they dropped the 'I' or quite what...the spelling varied a lot..but maybe stick with Sybella for now as descendents were also given the same name

this could be Mathew WAITE/WATT in 1841

WATT SR, John M 49 1792 H L Weaver Haddingtonshire (East Lothian)

WATT, Mathew M 46 1795 H L Weaver Haddingtonshire (East Lothian)

LITSTER, Mary F 20 1821 Haddingtonshire (East Lothian)

WATT JR, John M 4 1837 Haddingtonshire (East Lothian)

WATT, Mary F 2 1839 Haddingtonshire (East Lothian)
Address: Belhaven, Belhaven, Dunbar

County: Haddingtonshire (East Lothian)

maybe check out the others in 1841 onwards ...its possible Mathew re-married ( see 1851 & 1861)

Sorry about the mix up re Isabella's marriage - I need to go back and check what I was thinking ( I rushed that comment)

Let us know how you get on
