I think Jackie could be onto something as the Jas who died in 1927 was 62 (death reg in 1928, reg 2082?), if that is the right one. HIs parents are shown as unknown.

Hy Francis McNULTY's death shows his father as Hy, mother unknown. But could be an informant error. Though I can't see a birth in Vic to Michael & Sarah for a child by this name...so was he a brother?

Sadly I can't find death notices for either of them in the Argus at NLA Trove.

If that is his birth then he also had several other siblings, including a sister named Sarah, who died in 1957 in Caulfield aged 94 (as HASKETT) (reg 8851).
