In 1897 my great-great aunt, Maria TASKER trade marked an analgesic titled 'TASCONIA' whilst living in Adelaide. At that time she was listed as a Chef/Cook. By 1900 she was living in North Carlton at 613 Canning Street and listed as a Herbalist. Advertisments for TASCONIA appeared in newspapers during 1900. Some few years after that she appears in WA where she worked as a Clairvoyant and also dealt in the breeding/selling of birds. Maria was born as Maria MULLIN and married a Henry BOARDMAN at Ballarat in 1861. After he died in 1866 she later married a John Walter TASKER in 1888. John died in 1896. Maria died in 1925 in Perth. Can someone please tell me any more about the TASCONIA story? For how long was it sold in Australia and who bought out this product? Any details are very much welcomed. Thanks cheers, Rob..
