Victorian Volunteer Forces (1863-1884)

Hi folks,

Wondering if some kind person can assist as I am in Brisbane.

My ancestor Alice Elizabeth Griffiths (nee Keys, aka Hannah Louisse) said in an 1870's newspaper article about a court case that she met her friend Lucy Ah Pack (nee Mason) "in the army". The Griffiths family were in Benalla up until the 1870's, and then Bairnsdale, so I can only assume Alice and/or her husband Allan Griffiths served in the Victorian Volunteer Forces.

National Archives of Australia has the service records for this period in their holdings. Am wondering if someone has access to it to perform a search on my behalf?

Record series is: http://recordsearch.naa.gov.au/SearchNRetrieve/Interface/Det...

Thanks in advance
Kylie
