William arrived in Victoria the aged 20, Sailed from Liverpool in the summer of 1856 aboard the "Saldanha" Listed as Labourer from Ireland, Listed as a Journalist when he died.

John MAHONY. B. 1864 in Collingwood, Victoria married Ethel HILL. b 1881 (Balmain, NSW) - married 1902 Sydney.
Their children were Claude, Olga, Elsie.
Ethel remarried Mr GODDEN and had two further children, Ruth and Vera.

Their daughter Olga Ethel MAHONY (1907 -1989) married in Nov 1927 to Vivian Clarence Lancelot Kirk (1896-1980) They lived in Mt Wilson.

Parents of Ethel HILL were John Joseph HILL and Emily M CONNEFF.(m c1877) their children were Clare, Cecily, Jack, Basil, Cyril, Ethel and Monica.

Mahoney was another way to spell mahony.
