INQUEST.
FATAL MINING ACCIDENT.
Tke district coroner, Dr Pounds, held an inquest yesterday on the body of the body of the man George Usher, aged forty six, who came suddenly by his death on the evening of Wednesday, the 15th inst, at the Eureka Company's claim, on the Belle Vue line. The following evidence was adduced -
Jane Usher, widow of the deceased, residing at Castlemaine, deposed that she was married to the deceased about fifteen years ago at Collingwood, Melbourne. They had five children, who are now totally unprovided for, the eldest being eleven years old, and the youngest two. Deceased would not take stimulants.
