It's great to hear from you again. I'm in Melbourne but still have close connections to Cape Clear- my mum was born & bred there and she and dad retired back there from Melbourne about ten years ago.
Her grandfather was Robert Scott snr, the brother of your Francis, and her father was Robert Scott jnr.
We know that Robert snr spent time in NZ but most of his life was spent in the Cape Clear district farming until his death in 1933.
As to Edward Scott and his wife Ann Anderson- Edward is a bit of a mystery man, supposedly born in Ireland but haven't discovered how he came to arrive in Australia. Ann and her extended family arrived from Selkirk Scotland in the 1850s and there are a lot of descendents around.
Edward Scott died in 1905 and is supposedly buried at Cape Clear but doesn't have a headstone. Ann died in 1911 and is buried at Cape. Her headstone also lists two of her sons George & Henry.
As for Edward jnr, he was living on the west coast, died March 1926 and is buried at Greymouth cemetery.
I would love to share more. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org
