Hi Barbara and others interested in the Royse and McCrae families

The NZ Historic Places Trust has recently published a fascinating report that gives lots of details on Kate (nee Royse) and J. E. Watson's home and life in Invercargill subsequent to their marriage in 1900:

I have now located William Royse (Kate's father) in UK with his Birth Register entry in 1838 (ECCLESALL BIERLOW, Sheffield, copy attached) and also his entry in the 1851 Census while a pupil at school in Doncaster.

I have William's birth certificate on order from the UK GRO so will know the missing details of his parents in a few days.
