I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I would go about getting a copy of my grandmothers' birth certificate from New Caledonia. I know she was born there in 1910 and immigrated to australia when she was very young.
I am trying to research my family tree and have struck a dead end when it comes to her parents, as I am unsure of their names.
My grandmothers name is Louisa Yvonne Jean FINOT.

The 'Cureau' family in Noumea

I am searching for any information on my mother, Alphonsine Louise Cureau, and her family in New Caledonia. Mum was born in Noumea 28/10/1904, her father was Edgard Louie Cureau and her mother was Celenie Jaroisay.
Mum migrated to Sydney Australia in 1920, and on 9/2/1927 she married my Dad, Arthur Charles Leslie Masters.
I can't find any records of her New Caledonian family or her australian immigration/vessel records.

I am looking for information regarding the Cureau family. Specifically Alphonsine Louise Cureau who was born approx 1905 in Noumea. She came to Australia, but I don't know when, perhaps 1920-1925.??? She married Arthur Masters in 1927. They had 7 children and she passed away in 1970 aged 65 years. Alphonsine is my husbands Grandmother. Any information would be greatly appreciated. MOURIN and REBOUR families

Hello, I am the great granddaughter of Charles Emile Louis MOURIN and Antoinette Eugene MOURIN ( nee REBOUR). Both lived in New Caledonia for a period and were married in the Cathedrale of Noumea on 28/8/1909. My greatgrandfather's father was Louis Auguste MOURIN, and my greatgrandmother's father was Antoine Eugene Rebour. My mother thinks that LOUIS Mourin was at some point an administrator for parts of French Polynesia, and that ANTOINE EUGENE Rebour, was a town planner/surveyor in Noumea. It is all a bit sketchy. If anyone has any information about my family to share it would be much appreciated.

I am looking for my ancester. He was John Hennessy, born nearly 1811, married to Elizabeth Sloane. They came from Ireland.
I think he was a marine deserter whaler ?
Who could help me with this kind of informations ?
He fleed to new caledonia nearly 1860 may be because of his desertion. But desertion of what ? Marine ? Army ? ... ? I don't know. Any idea ?

Several more details : he was also carpenter, santal trader. 3 childrens ; mary jane born in 1847 in Valparaiso, Chile. John Benjamin born nearly 1855 in Callaz (?), Peru. William born in 1857, Sydney, Australia

I am searching for the birth of Jean (or June)Carmen DE LEURA (DELURA?)about 1898. Her death certificate states she was born in New Caledonia, although other certificates have conflicting information showing several places in Australia as her birthplace. She married Maurice WEBBER and died in Sydney. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Cap Alex Paton supposedly drowned at sea 1862-1870 while captain of either Native Lass or Gazelle, born 1831 in Scotland, would have been about 32 or so at time of death, cannot find listing anywhere in Aust or NZ but may have been registered in next port after drowning, can anyone please help?

Simmons Births/Marriage Records

Seeking information and/or where to obtain marriage, birth, death records, arrival/departure records of English settler James Simmons and wife Doretta Naisiline Guckone and children who lived in Lifou and Mare in mid-late 1800s. They left to settle in Fiji about 1892 give or take a year or so. Doretta was born about 1858 maybe - she died in Fiji aged 41year in 1899 and probably married James 1876 or thereabouts.
