Hi Megan, Thanks for the info. I didn't have maiden names for either of Royce's wives which made finding them a bit difficult. Ernest also had a wife and baby daughter in Australia when he left for NZ. I believe the divorce was in 1935 which made me think that Royce was a stepson. I have a picture of Ernest's mother, Anastasia, on my "Dywer Molloy Howe..." tree. Her husband, Ernest De Tourret sr was a noted photographer in Auckland but he and wife Annie appear to have separated by 1920 as Annie was resident in Australia off/on from this time. There were also 2 children ( Annie d?? and Milton d1908) who died young and 2 sisters who returned to NZ and married almost immediately after the death of their mother in 1943.
