Classification: Immigration
Surnames: Parker. Seear.
I am looking for this brother of my direct line and will be most grateful if anyone in New Zealand can help.

Samuel Parker in 1841 was still with his family in Newcastle and is described as a cabinet maker. In 1851 he is described as a piano forte maker and is lodging with a family named Seear in Holywell Street, Westminster (London). Also resident at Holywell Street in 1851 was the Seear's grand-daughter, Mt. Cook, New Zealand born Annie Seear.

I can't find the Seears or my Samuel Parker in the 1861 or subsequent census returns, and wonder, given the NZ connection, whether all the household, including Samuel Parker emigrated to Mt. Cook which I understand is a part of Wellington.
