I am trying to find information about St Joseph's orphanage Hill St, Wellington about 1900 -1905. Mother Borgia a Mercy sister was in charge. I have the article about the laying of the foundation stone from papers past 1891. And a digital military file from Archives NZ, for JAMES WALSH SA war that contains a letter from his sister MAY WALSH which refers to the orphanage. ROSE and ELIZABETH WALSH attended after the death of their father, MARTIN WALSH of Palmerston North on the 16th Oct 1900.
